I thought you'd be interested to know that at 5:00 pm today, the temperature outside is 95, inside downstairs (first floor) is 81, upstairs (second floor), it's 84.  Not bad!  No air conditioning, I just open all the windows at night, then close them in the morning when I get up and close the shades.  Anyone who thinks they need air conditioning in Maine doesn't understand proper insulation.
